Verse from The Noble Qur'an

35. Allah (God) is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The parable of His Light is as a niche and within it a lamp, the lamp is in glass, the glass as it were a brilliant star, lit from a blessed tree, an olive, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow forth, though no fire touched it. Light upon Light! Allah (God) guides to His Light whom He wills. And Allah (God) sets forth parables for mankind, and Allah (God) is All-Knower of everything.

The Noble Qur'an (24: 35)

Narration from the Sayings of Prophet Mohammad PBUH

It has been narrated by a chain of narrators that people asked Prophet Mohammad PBUH whether they will see Allah (God) Almighty on the Day of Judgment? The answer to this question by Prophet Mohammad PBUH is the following:

Does it hurt you to see the sun without clouds between you and it. Then the people said: No O messenger of Allah (God). Then Prophet Mohammad PBUH said: Does it hurt you to see the moon on a full moon night with no clouds between you and it. The people replied: No O messenger of Allah (God). Then Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) said: Verily you will see your Lord (Allah (God)) on the Day of Judgment.
